As PR Manager for Countrylink I had plenty to do with train spotters, interestingly just before the movie came out. They were always after paraphernalia or getting caught stealing a bit of track or something from the trains. This story is about defining these obsessive train lovers.

On the surface, Baked Beans and Apple Pie is about the world of a sometimes recalcitrant check out chick, yet there is so much more, religion, the Australian class system, the treatment of sentient beings and the moral of what happens if you eat a frozen Sarah Lee Apple Pie. P.S. No matter how confident you feel, don’t do it.
Dragon on Drugs
‘Dragons on Drugs’ was written for a short story class in the UTS Master of Creative Writing program. It’s a light-hearted comedy and has been awarded a prize in a comedy writing competition. I hope to revisit Dave the Dragon’s life as a traveller in the future.
