This was my very first trip to Tahiti. I’ve been back twice more and could go again and again. Bora bora is heaven. On my last visit I’d swum out into the middle of the lagoon and saw a poor little insect on his back. There was just one small leaf in that perfect sea of blue and I swam over to it, picked it up and Baywatch style, rescued the little critter. It was a tiring swim back to land with one arm up in the air the whole way making sure the insect didn’t drown. Finally I arrived at the sand.  I popped him down and it was only then that I realised it was a cockroach!
